Retz Cres, FORDE ACT

Forde house is a straight line urban exterior with a warm modern ambience. The interiors are comfortable and playful while providing openings to the urban style landscaping visible through large expanses of glass throughout the house. This house was designed as a conceptual base point for all exhibit homes. Design features and construction methods that were used in this residence can be seen in EDCs homes and upcoming projects.

FEATURES

The house and inclusions were custom designed from footings, structural members, through to the 1° roof pitch. This concept behind this residence was to provide client’s a diverserange of ideas and how relationships between rooms can be achieved while maintaining a functional floor plan with seamless details throughout. On top of all other features and inclusions, the landscaping is one of the prominent design features of this residence, the brief was to achieve a modern Australian landscape using traditional materials with innovative construction methods and low maintenance resources.

Turbayne Cres (25), FORDE ACT

Turbayne Residence was a specifically designed to suit the requirements of its occupant. The open plan layout lends a helping hand in guiding its elderly occupier with ease. The house was designed to comply adaptable living codes & AS 1428.1 Design for Access and Mobility.

FEATURES

This house is based on Gold inclusions with Platinum + Custom upgrades. We chose hydronic heating as the primary source of heating through the house, this paired with the skylights has reduced the heating costs by upto 30% by providing sunlight further opportunity to penetrate further into the centre of the home. The waffle pod slab system adds an additional R1.3 to the floor system rating and retains the solar & hydronic gain much more efficiently. The kitchen has an immense amount storage and additional storage has been designed throughout the house and garage which can be also used to park trailers, bikes etc. The landscaping was specifically designed to provide maximum impact while reducing maintenance, the rear yard landscaping incorporates an organic vegetable patch that just like the living areas of the house captures east, north and west sunlight.

Renouf St, CASEY ACT

Renouf St. was Exhibits first spec home. The design suits the young professional demographic of Springbank Rise. The concept behind the Renouf Residence was to include a broad range of inclusions to showcase the variety that the inclusions that we can offer.

FEATURES

The house was based mostly on the Exhibit Silver & Gold inclusions range. The interior colour scheme was based on a modified Silver inclusions Charcoal Range with highlight features. The appliances based around the Gold inclusions and the tapware reflected the Platinum Range. Located a stone throw from the Springbank demonstration village house, the Landscaping was a strong feature of this project, ee decided to follow the creative design guidelines of the streetscape. At the time of designing the landscaping, Springbank didn’t have their ‘landscaping guidelines’ published, so we designed a visually appealing yet sustainable garden that now compliments the design guidelines and can be cared for at the busiest of times.
